Underhill-based Marketing Strategist Speaks to Packed Room at Notable Technology Conference
Austin, TX, March 12, 2017 – David Weaver, a seasoned marketing strategist based in Underhill, spoke to a packed room at the South by Southwest Interactive conference with an inspiring speech on the promises and perils of working remotely. The speech was attended by hundreds of tech notables who gathered for the yearly conference.
"The crowd was bigger than I anticipated," Mr. Weaver noted. "I'm not going to say it was bigger than the presidential inauguration, but some might say that," he added with a wink.
The speech, entitled, "Get Out, Be In: What I've Learned Working Remotely" was delivered on the opening weekend of the world-famous interactive conference. David's speech was chosen through SXSW's "PanelPicker" competition -- a competition that included more than 4,600 entries submitted in 2016.
Since the summer of 2015, Mr. Weaver had been working remotely in Vermont for Barkley, an advertising firm based in Kansas City, Missouri. Working on such well-known brands as Hershey, Cargill, Applebee's, and Wawa; Mr. Weaver has been providing strategic counsel to large-scale brands from coast-to-coast. A 30-plus year veteran of the advertising and marketing world, Mr. Weaver's resume reads like a "who's who" of great brands. AccessCMO offers Mr. Weaver's services on a fractional, or "gig model" basis, giving firms that are growing access to senior talent, without signing up for a full-time senior employee. AccessCMO allows firms to take advantage or Mr. Weaver's counsel by subscribing to a set number of hours/days in a given month, without the needed expense and overhead of hiring a senior marketing employee.
In addition to the subscription-based CMO service, AccessCMO offers ad hoc project help including brand positioning counsel, research management and analysis, a proprietary rapid hypothesis idea development process, cultural and topical studies, presentation/storytelling coaching, and more.
AccessCMO, a Vermont LLC, allows growing firms to access seasoned marketing counsel on a subscription or ad hoc basis, without the added overhead of a full-time CMO.
