Underhill, Vermont, February 23, 2017 – David Weaver, a seasoned marketing strategist based in Underhill, is using his upcoming speech at the SXSW Conference in Austin, Texas to launch his new firm that focuses on marketing advice and counsel for growing businesses.
Since the summer of 2015, Mr. Weaver has been working remotely in Vermont for Barkley, an advertising firm based in Kansas City, Missouri. Working on such well-known brands as Hershey, Cargill, Applebee's, and Wawa; Mr. Weaver has been providing strategic counsel to large-scale brands from coast-to-coast.
A 30-plus year veteran of the advertising and marketing world, Mr. Weaver's resume reads like a "who's who" of great brands. David has personally led and created award-winning campaigns and results for Nissan, T-Mobile, Clif Bar, American Airlines, Nestle, adidas, Blue Bunny ice cream, Nationwide Insurance, and many others. An experienced speaker of many conferences, including TED and multiple TEDx events, David brings an unassuming, yet compelling, speaking style and approach.
David's success working remotely led him to be selected to give a speech at the SXSW conference in Austin. The speech, entitled, "Get Out, Be In: What I've Learned Working Remotely" will be delivered on Sunday, March 12 -- the opening weekend of the world-famous interactive conference. David's speech was chosen through SXSW's "PanelPicker" competition -- a competition that included more than 4,600 entries submitted in 2016.
David will be using his speech to formally launch his new company, AccessCMO -- a marketing consultancy designed to open up world-class marketing advice to growing businesses...many based right here in Vermont. In addition, Mr. Weaver will be launching his business with new clients already availing themselves of his service, including Coeio - a green burial company based on the work of its founder and TED Fellow Jae Rhim Lee.
"Too often, great marketing advice is kept in a 'lockbox' that is only in service to the biggest brands," Mr. Weaver says, "my hope is to offer this class of service to growing businesses, entrepreneurs and even individuals as needed." He added, "Nothing against large brands, I'll still do work for them as well, I just wanted to provide an alternative option for growing businesses."
